Old World Wisconsin

Old World Wisconsin

photos by UnCommonDays.com

This living history museum, inspired by the great outdoor museums of Europe, features the actual farmhouses, barns and village shops of Wisconsin's pioneers, relocated from throughout the state and reassembled in authentically landscaped settings. The museum, endorsed by the State Historical Society, includes more than 60 historic buildings assembled into 10 farmsteads and an 1870s crossroads village. Costumed interpreters offer demonstrations of pioneer folkways.  This is a beautiful and spacious setting.
