Big Top

This 50-acre museum in Baraboo is devoted to the heritage of the American circus.  Located at the original winter quarters of the Ringling Brothers, the museum houses the world's largest collection of antique circus wagons (some of which participate in the Great Circus Parade in July), 19th century equipment such as steam calliopes, posters, woodcarvings and more. The museum is filled with circus history and lore and offers many exhibits and demonstrations.
Visit during the summer to see performances under the big top, clowns, acrobats, circus variety shows, elephant splash-arounds in the Baraboo River, parades, concerts, pony and elephant rides.
