US Watermelon Seed-Spitting &
Speed-Eating Championship

Where:  Pardeeville, WI

What:  This national competition, held at Chandler Park on Park Lake, attracts thousands of visitors each year - some from as far away as New York, Australia and Algeria.  The current seed-spitting record is 61 feet, 3 inches for men and 39 feet for women. Participants need plenty of napkins and a big appetite!  In addition to the speed-eating and seed-spitting championships, the event also features melon sculptures, a parade, free watermelon and a water-ski show.
