| What: Each year a uniquely New England July 4th celebration is held in this small preserved town. President Calvin Coolidge was born here on July 4, 1872. A parade from the village covers the short distance to the town cemetery where he is buried. A color guard bearing a wreath from the White House, places it on the grave. Visitors are welcome to join the townspeople in this respectful parade. |
