Dr. Pepper Bottling Company

At the Dr. Pepper bottling company in Dublin

photos by UnCommonDays.com

This one’s for all you Dr. Pepper lovers . . . and we know you’re out there!
In Dublin you can visit the oldest Dr. Pepper bottling plant in the world. The original bottle filler, from the late 1930's, is still being used. And, this is also the only bottling company where Imperial Pure Cane Sugar is used, as in the original formula, instead of corn sweeteners or other sugar substitutes.
Although bottling is only done once a week, you can take a tour of the plant and visit Old Doc’s Soda Shop for a refreshing bottle of this special Dr. Pepper and a sandwich 7 days a week.
You will also learn something about loyalty, dedication and the work ethic of a bygone era when you hear about Mr. W. P. Kloster who began work here as a bottle sorter at age 14 and, after working there for 58 years, became the owner in 1991.

Take a tour!
