Buffalo

One of the nation's largest public buffalo herds roams the prairies of Custer State Park, located in the Black Hills.  The herd often stops traffic along the popular Wildlife Loop Road.  Sharing the park's 73,000 acres are deer, pronghorn, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, elk, wild turkey, and prairie dogs.
