Intricate architecture, extravagant furnishings, expansive views of indoor and outdoor adorned areas - excess in every sense of the word! Visit the Newport Mansions and return to the Gilded Age in America, when wealth was "strutted" by those who were seemingly trying to prove they could have the most of the best! Some former owners will also be remembered as some of America's greatest philanthropists. Tickets to single or multiple Mansions (3-10 properties) may be purchased at any of the Mansions, most of which may be reached from Bellevue Ave. Or...you can enjoy visiting AND become a part of the preservation of these American treasures by becoming a member of The Preservation Society of Newport County, whether you reside in RI or not. Several types of one-year memberships are available which provide unlimited entrance to all properties (except for special events), a percentage discount at the museum stores associated with the mansions and quarterly issues of the Society's publication. |
