The Flume Gorge

       The Flume Gorge is an 800 ft-long rock gorge at the sound end of Franconia Notch State Park.  The walls of the chasm, 12 to 20 feet apart, rise to a height of 60 to 70 feet, while a rushing stream below tumbles over boulders.  The walk through the Flume is 2 miles and includes many stairs.  The Flume Gorge is located in Franconia Notch State Park and is open between late spring and mid-fall. Admission fee.
