Having the opportunity to visit "Christina's World", a world made famous by Andrew Wyeth, will surely add to or stimulate your love of the painting. The artist and his wife became friends with Christina Olson and her brother, Alvaro. The Olson's, the house they occupied and the view from the house were the subject of many of Wyeth's paintings. Today the house, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995, stands much as it has since the late 1700's, and is enjoyed by both human and equine visitors! |
