What: Larry Ross, who moved the Lindbergh Crate to his home in 1990, uses it as a springboard to urge people to dream and work to make their dream come true. Skipping the surroundings of the usual "motivational speaker", he hosts this special day each year in early June as a way to honor chosen courageous people, tell their story (and Lindbergh's) to children and inspire all in attendance. It is a simple gesture that brings amazing participation. Participants range from those who may have drawn the national spotlight to those who are only seen as they fly their big planes over this gathering and those whose courageous acts may have simply been to build a bridge that thousands drive over every year. Meant especially for children, the public is invited and the day has meaning for all who participate. |
