Cannonball House

Cannonball House

photos by UnCommonDays.com

This house was built sometime before 1797 and was known as the David Rowland home.  It was one of the houses hit by a cannonball from a British Frigate in 1813 and thus became known as the Cannonball House.  It is said that the only casualties of this two day bombardment were a chicken and a pig whose leg was broken.
